Jessica Minnie is the creative force behind FLEURESCENT, a floral and event design studio + flower + gift shop in downtown Squamish. She brings bold, artful, and meticulously curated designs to life, transforming weddings, fundraisers, galas, and corporate events into unforgettable experiences.

With decades of luxury event experience from her award-winning planning company, Petite Pearl Events, Jessica combines artistry with strategy — ensuring every detail, from FLEURS and decor to rentals, signage, and styling, is flawlessly executed. Her work has been featured in countless publications, reflecting her signature blend of creativity, precision, and storytelling.

Based in Squamish, Jessica balances running two thriving businesses with raising three energetic boys — orchestrating bouquets, boardrooms, and Lego city negotiations with equal parts grit, imagination, and passion for perfection.

We are a team of energetic + experienced florists, designers, stylists, visual merchandisers, hard-working mamas of babies + fur babies, all suffering from a syndrome we call "make all the people happy". When you've been doing weddings + events for well over a decade, you not only develop the need to be surrounded by FLEURS but you also develop the need to see the face of someone who has just been gifted them - either the wedding party being handed their bouquets or guests leaving with a handful of blooms at the end of the night.

The pure happiness + pleasure of the giving + receiving of flowers is something that we wanted to start seeing every.single.day. in our Squamish community.

CONNECTED TO THE LAND

We are proudly an Indigenous + female owned + operated business. We live, work + play on the beautiful but unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. We are so lucky to get to work with mother nature every day.

We take great pride in protecting this land with as many sustainability efforts as possible. This includes sourcing local flowers when possible, minimal use of floral foam, repurposing water, reusing wire where possible, reusing packaging for storage purposes, as well as recycle all cardboard + organic waste all biodegradable waste.

FROM AROUND THE GLOBE

Just like our Squamish community, our FLEURS are from around the globe. While we do have relationships with local Sea to Sky growers and attempt to support them as much as possible, this is quite challenging when it comes to supply and demand. If you are a local grower who we have not yet connected with, DEFINITELY reach out to us to connect!

The majority of our FLEURS are sourced locally from a flower auction; local BC flowers are always our top choice but given our limited growing season in BC, many flower varieties are imported from South America and Holland.
